We did it.
We climbed Cascade Mountain, our first Adirondack high peak.
But we’re not hikers. And we don’t even play hikers on TV.
Lots of people passed us on the way up. Several of them passed us again on their way down while we were still going up.
That’s ok. We weren’t trying to set any records for speed.
The view was spectacular. 360° of mountain terrain.
We made it down in an hour and 45 minutes.Coming down was much harder on the knees. I had to wear a knee brace the rest of the day yesterday and half the day today to manage the stairs around home. I should have carried it up and put it on at the top before coming down. Live and learn.
